What was your most/least fun deck?

Post by OcaVan on 02.03.17 12:45

Heyja! This thread is about good or bad memories for your fun decks!
I put this into the gossip section because i don't want to see any decklists or long combo explanations. I hope Just some nostalgia =).

I start with those two:

Good memory:
At first i was thinking about my mono nature earth dragon deck. It wasn't whether extremly powerful nor really bad at all. Balgazaramas was just such a fun card to play with, every attack is so exciting with it. Abd a lot of ocg earth dragons actually have a beautiful art design imo. 'Special summoning Diruga Vejida with Kachua always out a smile on my face, at least once per duel.

Bad memory:
Well it isn't actually nostalgia but i recently build my silent skill deck some weeks ago. Nariel is a fun blocker to me. No dynamic gameplay at all. Feels like control but it isn't actually because Nariel and Mystic Magican can be removed easily. I can not remind of a deck that has been less fun than this.

Good- Gaiglen turbo. It's an incredibly fun ramp deck focusing on Gaiglen! Very Happy And there is nothing I love more than summoning him, then wiping my opponent's entire board, then all of their shields with just him Very Happy

Bad-I had a mono fire Bolshack NEX loop deck that focused on spamming lupias to summon a ton of Bolshack Nexs and cross nexs to swarm the board, it was pretty good. Then I tried to add light to it. Key word-TRIED. It was bad

I know most of these aren't fun decks but still.

Good - Giovanni Squall: Had fun Torturing the opponent. Too bad i cannot use it now.
Good - MaltNEXT, Drama, it's fun spamming Dragons using Batorai Keep, especially when a MaltNEXT calls another MaltNEXT.
Good - 5c Ramps. So much stamina and lockdown and i don't even need to worry about Manalock now.
Good - Heaven's Gate. Had fun spamming blockers to oblivion.
Good - DF Buster, had so much fun using it, too bad i cannot use it now.
Good - Cylinder/Rosia Miradante Twelve, Once you get the grip of them they are really good.
Good - Deadzone Dormageddon, nice even with hof limit.
Good - Redzone (Not Light Fire), Sweeps opponents without fear of Heaven's Gate and Miracle Miradante.
Good - All Delete Dokindam, so fun to use and powerful.
Good - Lion King Baki, Powerful and stable, although can get rushed.

Bad - 5c Buster, often gets rushed and color screwed.
Bad - NEX Miradante Twelve, too much color screws and bad shuffles.
Bad - 4c Mana Burn, often gets rush-screwed, if you can't burn you are in disadvantage.
Bad - Renaissance, Offense stops and you die.
Bad - Light Fire Redzone, same as renaissance.
Bad - Mono Darkness Hellvorof, no fun at all.
Bad - Ballom Quake Turbo, always got swept.
Bad - Turbo Zeniths, Always got swept.
Bad - Adamski Deckout, always get swept to oblivion.
Bad - Doromar Discard, always gets rushed or topdecked.
Bad - Optimus/Heaven's Gate/Goemonkey Loop. don't know how to use them.

Good: LWD VV-8 Diabolos - That VV-8+Diabolos+Last Storm combo is just epic and full of Bliss!
Good: 5C Ramp-My main deck since nearly half a decade! Just so versatile and the ramp-control swings are really fun.
Good: MaltNEXT-Very Heroic and intense !
Good: Batorai Drama-That overkill dragon spamming just gives me blissful chills.
Good: LW Heaven's Gate- Reis in BZ, HG->Heavens Heaven and Kaiserhalla->Premium Madonna and Saint Rose, draw 4 and spam multiple Alpharion .... Nuff said.

Bad: Mono D Hellborof-Boring and not even much competitive
Bad: Weenie Rushes-No blissfull moments
Bad: Mono N Sasoris-Same as above
Bad: NEX Miradante-Inconsistent
Bad: 5C Buster-Inconsistent
Bad: Renaissance-Once stopped, you're dead

That's almost the same i thought. Aside that i'm scared of using 5C ramps recently, from my experience they are very consistent and tough.

There are sooo many decks still built and sooome many decks that i have played over the years, but by far these are my experiences, there might be more though:

Good:
Built a mono water rush, which has a perfect balance of power, removal, draw as well as defence, this deck just fucked up my friends rush decks, which are really hard to beat to be honest, because it's rush yeah, annoying standard rush decks in tcg haha.

Bad:
Same as you i would say silent skill decks suck most, but i have built a combo-heavy deck around Dolzark, i really worked on it for a long time, then finished a, as i have thought, well build deck, and i got wrecked by every random deck... would even say, it would have lost to a vanilla deck haha. No combo got pulled, only bad opening hands...
